J. Miguel Pedroza is an accomplished attorney with many years of experience in the field of immigration law. He is admitted to practice law in the State of Oklahoma and in Mexico. As an immigrant himself from Leon, Guanajuato, Mexico, he understands what going through the immigration process means for his clients and why it is so important to do the process properly with a trusted attorney. This understanding allows him the ability to better connect with his clients and drives him in helping his community.
J. Miguel focuses his practice on immigration court representation for detained and non-detained individuals, family-based immigration, and humanitarian-based immigration. Prior to opening the firm in 2018, he worked in the immigration department at the YWCA in Tulsa for three years primarily in family-based immigration. Before immigrating to the United States, he owned and operated his own law practice in Mexico.
J. Miguel holds degrees in Mexico and in the United States. In Mexico, he graduated from the Universidad de Leon in 2008 with his law degree, and then with a Master of Laws from the Universidad de Guanajuato in 2010. In the United States, he earned a Master of Laws (LL.M) in 2015, and his Juris Doctor (J.D.) in 2017, both from the University of Tulsa College of Law.
He is an active member of the Oklahoma Bar Association, the Tulsa County Bar Association, and the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA).
